Mr Mohammed Boakye-Agyeman, Ejisu-Juaben Municipal Chief Executive, has urged contractors to speed up work on projects awarded them else government would terminate such contracts.
The MCE gave the warning when he inspected 13 GETFund sponsored projects started in the municipality in 2008.
The projects are six-unit classroom block each at Kwaso, Onwe, Asouanso, New Koforidua, Besease, Ejisu, Adajo-Jachie, Yaw Nkrumah, Apemso, Odoyefe, Nkerepoaso and a four-unit teachers' quarters for Ejisu Model School.
Besides the Adajo-Jachie project which was far behind time schedule for completion, all the others were progressing steadily.
Mr Boakye-Agyeman hinted that the Assembly would review the contract if Agankus Construction Company working on the project failed to complete work within the shortest possible time.
The MCE said the assembly was working hard to provide decent accommodation for teachers in the remote areas to make life comfortable for them.
