The Tema branch of the Datus '85 Alumni Association, has been inaugurated with a call on members to make positive contributions towards the development of their alma mater.
Mr Yaw Tweneboah-Koduah, former tutor of Datus School Complex, who made the call, commended the founding fathers of the Association for their vision and foresight and urged them to strive to help lift high the image of the school.
Mr Tweneboah Koduah urged other old students of the school to form Alumni Associations, and act as worthy ambassadors of their alma mater wherever they found themselves.
Mr Richard Twumasi, Co-ordinator of the Association, said its two prime objectives were to help develop the school and to support members socially and financially.
Mr Twumasi said members would organize educational seminars for students and pupils of the school to help broaden their horizon.
Nana Yaw Brefo Ababio, businessman, who chaired the function, advised students and pupils of Datus to take their studies seriously.
The seven-member executive of the Association has Mr Nathan Danso as its President, with Mrs Joana Asante as Secretary and Mr Richard Twumasi as co-ordinator.
The rest are Mr Clement Acquaah, Events Co-ordinator; Mr Napoleon Acquaah, Communications Officer; Adiza Da Costa, Treasurer; and Belkissu Adama, Welfare Officer.
