Ghanaians have been advised not to be overwhelmed by the current political atmosphere in the country, but rather bury all political difference, unite and forge ahead in development.
The advice came from the Chief Executive Officer of M.Y. Ventures, Dr. M.Y. Caesar during an interaction with newsmen in Kumasi.
Referring to the outcome of the just ended general elections in December 2012, Dr. Caesar admonished that no matter who won or lost, Ghanaians still needed to stay healthy and contribute meaningfully towards the country's socio-economic and political growth and development.
He said under the current political climate, people should not lose sight of the fact that whether in victory or otherwise, life must still go on, and Ghana as a nation must march forward in its developmental agenda.
"People should not be over anxious and excessively excited in whichever way the election result stands now; over anxiety could cause serious health problems, while excessive or provocative jubilation has the tendency to create conflict which could disturb the peace of the nation," he stressed.
Dr Caesar also called on the leadership of both National Democratic Congress (NDC) and New Patriotic Party (NPP) to continue to restrain their supporters from acts that could compromise the peace and stability the nation was enjoying.
He used the occasion to advice Ghanaians to seek regular medical attention, in order to know and improve their health status.
"We need healthy people to move Ghana forward in the right direction", Dr Caesar said.
