President John Dramani Mahama left Accra on Wednesday to Yamoussoukro, Cote d'Ivoire, to join colleague heads of state for the 42nd Ordinary Session of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Authority of Heads of State and Government.
This was contained in a press release signed by Mr Mahama Ayariga, Minister for Information and Media Relations and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA).
The release said the Summit would discuss the report of the 69th Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Council of Ministers, and review efforts currently going on to restore peace, democracy and political stability to Mali and Guinea-Bissau.
It further stated that the two-day Summit would also receive and consider the 2012 annual report of the President of the ECOWAS Commission.
