Farès made his TotalEnergies CAF AFCON debut against Angola on Monday night and was named Man of the Match following a great display. 

The 21-year was however disappointed in the result which saw them fail to pick all three points despite taking the lead in the first half. 

“We are disappointed with the result,” he said after the game. 

The Eintracht Frankfurt midfielder continued that their performance dropped in the second half after a dominant first half display and that affected them. 

“We dominated the first half from start to finish, but in the second half, we had to show more intensity and we had to give it our all until the end, especially when we have a team like ours. 

“I would say that we failed to come back with the same determination in the second half. It’s not a question of physics, we can only blame ourselves,” he added.
