Night clubs have sprung up in Ho lately changing an otherwise dull night life and the Regional Tourism Office says tourism is on the increase.
Over the past three months, three new night clubs have been keeping the night alive to the taste of night life lovers.
Club Fidele in the central part of town, Ortz and Kingfisher are the toast of the young and old.
The clubs provide some alternative entertainment for locals and tourists, aside the normal drinking spots and outdoor dance entertainments.
By 2200 hours at weekends fashionably dressed young ladies and guys swarm up the clubs dancing and drinking until the wee hours of the morning.
Mr Sulemana Ahmed, Tourism Research Officer at the Regional Tourist Office, said the activities of the clubs have sparked off tourist inflows.
"The activities of the clubs and the peaceful nature of Ho with increased security, new streetlights and access roads are appealing to visitors who are considering Ho as a relaxing place at weekends," he said.
Mr Ahmed said his outfit was monitoring the clubs to ensure that their activities were in line with laid down laws and regulations.
A hotelier who sought anonymity said business is picking up fast especially at weekends compelling people in the hospitality industry in town to expand their places.
Unlike previously when the streets became "ghost towns" now young people could be seen roaming the streets as late as 2300 hours.
Managers of the clubs described patronage as "great."
Some have introduced salsa on Sundays and Karoky (live performances) as additional package.
Some also operate restaurants and pubs which operate 24 hours to entertain visitors and tourists who come to town anytime.
Ms Sumaiya Salifu Saeed, a journalist, said night clubs had brought the Ho Municipality alive making it "interesting and lovely with activities that refresh the mind for the coming day."
She said the new street lights in town seemed to had given security which young people are enjoying.
The assurance by Deputy Commissioner of Police David Ampah-Bennin, the Volta Regional Police Commander, of police night patrols have given added guarantee of security.
