The Kumasi branch of the United Cadres Front has applauded Mr Samuel Sarpong, the Metropolitan Chief Executive of Kumasi for his efforts at developing the Metropolis and appealed to residents to rally behind him.
They said all should unite behind the assembly in its efforts to transform the city and enhance its business attraction.
This was contained in a statement issued by the Cadres and signed by its Chairman, Mr Kwabena Ampofo Addai.
They said they were happy with the smooth and successful implementation of the KMA's decongestion exercise, which had restored some sanity, especially to the central business area.
The Cadres urged that the exercise should be sustained and expanded to cover all parts of the Metropolis.
It asked the people to show understanding and to help Kumasi to recapture its past glory as the "Garden City of West Africa."
The statement noted that there had been significant improvement in the illumination of the city thus providing safety to the people during the night.
They appealed to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) to raise the quality of its services to boost business activities in the metropolis.
