Board chairman of Medeama Sporting Club, Dr Tony Aubynne, has expressed satisfaction with the impact of head coach Ibrahim Tanko, saying the club’s hierarchy is pleased with the progress made under his leadership.
Medeama finished the first round of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League at the summit of the table, collecting 34 points from 17 matches to open up a two-point lead over their closest challengers.
The Tarkwa-based side have been the league’s most in-form team in recent weeks, averaging 2.1 points per game across their last ten matches and currently enjoying a 13-game unbeaten run.

Their consistency has been underpinned by a solid squad balance, with Kamaradini Mamudu emerging as the club’s top scorer so far this season with eight league goals.
Speaking exclusively to Citi Sports, Dr Aubynne said Medeama’s strong start to the campaign was the result of deliberate planning and clear ambition at the beginning of the season.
