The Anglican Bishop of Kumasi, the Right Reverend Dr Daniel Yinkah Sarfo, has appealed to Ghanaians especially, Christians to tolerate each other so that with unity “we can continue to build a prosperous and peaceful nation”.
He said:” it is my fervent prayer that”, as Christians commemorate Easter, Jesus Christ would draw all Ghanaians irrespective of their personal political affiliation to himself as one people with
a common destiny.
Bishop Sarfo was delivering the Easter message at the Saint Cyprian’s Anglican Cathedral in Kumasi on Sunday.
He said there is the need for people particularly, politicians to stop the over-politicization of issues which undermines the peace and unity of the country.
“We can achieve a lot as a nation if we accord each other respect and space in national socio-economic discourse no matter the political
stands of people”.
Bishop Sarfo explained that the resurrection of Christ is the hope and cornerstone of the Christian faith and urged the congregation to lead humble and upright lives to merit eternal gift of salvation.
