A Child Protection Training Workshop was organized in the Oti Region to strengthen the capacity of stakeholders working with children to identify, prevent and respond to issues of child abuse, neglect, exploitation and violence.
The training aimed to equip participants with practical knowledge and skills to uphold children's rights and promote their welfare.
To raise awareness on child protection laws, the Department of Children, under the Ministry of Gender, Ghana Health Service, and World Vision Ghana, equipped participants with knowledge to recognize and respond to child protection concerns, promote child-centred approaches in service delivery and advocacy and to foster inter-agency collaboration in the protection of children's rights.

She said that it was expected the knowledge and skills gained by the participants would translate into better outcomes for children in their respective communities and institutions.
The participants at the workshop expressed gratitude to the Regional Committee under the Department of children and pledged to disseminate the key messages to their communities, ensuring that the knowledge and skills acquired would benefit a wider audience.
