A California woman has been arrested on suspicion that she forced a two-year-old girl to eat chili powder that sparked a fatal seizure in the toddler, the Los Angeles Times reported Tuesday.
The report said that Amanda Sorensen, 21, will appear in court on Wednesday charged with child abuse. She is being held on bail of 500,000 dollars.
Sorensen was arrested after police were called to the home that she shares with her boyfriend, the father of the deceased child, who went into seizure after ingesting the chili powder, the report said.
