Job Summary

The Draughtsman is responsible for preparing detailed technical drawings, plans, and designs used in construction, engineering, manufacturing, or architectural projects. The role involves converting concepts, sketches, and specifications into accurate computer-aided designs (CAD) while ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings, layouts, and designs using CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks.


• Interpret architectural, engineering, and technical specifications to produce accurate drawings.


• Revise and update drawings based on feedback from engineers, architects, or project managers.


• Ensure drawings comply with company standards, regulations, and safety requirements.


• Maintain proper documentation and records of all drawings and revisions.


• Conduct site visits when necessary to gather measurements and verify project details.


• Collaborate with engineers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout project execution.


• Prepare material take-offs and support project costing where required.


• Assist in reviewing project designs for feasibility and functionality.


• Ensure timely delivery of drawings according to project schedules.
