Job Summary
To supervise and coordinate all electrical maintenance, installation, and troubleshooting activities in the soap plant to ensure safe, reliable, and continuous production operations.
Key Responsibilities Electrical Maintenance & Operations
Supervise daily electrical maintenance activities across the soap production lines, utilities, and packaging areas
Plan and assign work to electrical technicians and contractors
Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance of:
Motors, MCCs, VFDs, control panels, PLC systems
Boilers, compressors, pumps, mixers, conveyors, and dryers
Troubleshoot electrical faults to minimize downtime
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), and plant safety procedures
Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and reports
Support new equipment installation, commissioning, and upgrades
Coordinate with production and mechanical teams to meet output targets
Manage spare parts usage and recommend re-ordering
Train and mentor electrical technicians and apprentices
Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory electrical requirements Automation & Controls
Assist with maintenance of PLCs, VFDs, sensors, relays, and control circuits.
Support calibration and troubleshooting of instrumentation and automated systems.
Ensure proper functioning of safety interlocks and emergency systems. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain maintenance logs, breakdown reports, and spare parts usage records.
Report recurring issues and recommend corrective actions or improvements.
Weekly and monthly engineering report including utility consumption. Team Support
Work closely with production, mechanical technicians, and supervisors.
Support new equipment installation, commissioning, and plant upgrades. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
