The Old Tafo branch of the Gospel Centre Assemblies of God Church in Kumasi, at the weekend donated items worth GH¢400 to the Tafo Government Hospital in Kumasi.
The items included toilet rolls; assorted soap; plastic containers; cutlasses; mops, brooms and rakes.
About 50 members of the Church also organised a two-hour cleanup exercise at the Hospital.
The Reverend John Kwabena Boachie, Minister-in charge of the Church, who made the presentation, said it was the avowed objective of the Church to support the development of the community.
He said the donation and the cleanup exercise were part of their social responsibilities towards the development of the Hospital and the community as a whole.
Reverend Boachie observed that the development of every nation depended to a large extent on the good health of its people and asked members of the community to patronize the Hospital.
Mr Kaakyire Fordjour, a Medical Assistant at the Hospital, who received the items, thanked the Church for the gift and the cleanup exercise.
He appealed to individuals, societies, churches and organizations to copy the example and donate generously towards the running of the Hospital.
