IT?seems Ghanaian actress and singer Yaa Jackson thrives under public scrutiny, particularly regarding her bold fashion choices and sultry social media presence. Unfazed by criticism, she stands firm in her identity and passion.
She believes her striking style maintains her relevance in the entertainment world, and she’s not willing to compromise for anyone.
In a June 16 interview with Graphic Showbiz, Yaa Jackson expressed her indifference to outside opinions. She made it clear that she was unbothered by what people say about her.
According to her, confidence and authenticity outweigh societal pressures.
“Oh, the comments! I’m not worried about what people say about my style. Fashion is subjective, and I’m all about being true to myself. If people love it, great! If not, that’s okay too.”
“I won’t change for someone else’s idea of style. Besides, on an ordinary day, you will not see Yaa Jackson dressed like that,” she stated.
Yaa, who began her career as a child actress in Kumawood movies, now juggles acting and music professionally. While acting is where she started, she feels music currently offers her a deeper avenue for self-expression. Nonetheless, she intends to continue developing in both areas.
“Honestly, I love both music and acting. I think they’re both forms of storytelling, just in different ways. Right now, I’m leaning more towards music because it allows me to express myself in a personal and raw way. However, I will continue to explore both passions,” she shared with Graphic Showbiz.
