The Teshie Traditional Council has entered into a partnership with Papillon Brand & Marketing Specialist to transform the coastal town of Teshie into a dynamic hub for youth innovation, entrepreneurship, and cultural tourism.
The initiative, which is set to roll out in phases beginning this quarter, will equip young people in Teshie with practical skills through entrepreneurship training, digital storytelling, eco-tourism branding, and community development workshops.
It also includes town planning support and branding strategies that aim to reposition Teshie as a destination for creative enterprise and cultural engagement.
Speaking at the launch of the partnership, Ms Mariam Agyeman-Buahin, lead strategist at Papillon, said the collaboration is centred on long-term social impact rather than surface-level aesthetics.
“This partnership is purpose-driven and deeply rooted in community impact. At Papillon, we believe branding is not just about aesthetics, but about unlocking the soul of a place,” she said. “Teshie has untapped potential, and our goal is to help uncover it, amplify it, and support systems that enable youth to thrive.”
Ms Agyeman-Buahin added that urbanisation must go beyond physical infrastructure to focus on identity and shared value, noting that true progress is measured by the empowerment of communities and the economic inclusion of their youth.
The launch event brought together key traditional leaders, including Gbetsoolo Nii Ashitey Akomfra III, a Member of the National House of Chiefs; Nii Ashikwei Kwaobotswe II, President of the Teshie Traditional Council; and other divisional chiefs and elders of the Teshie area.
The Teshie Traditional Council described the collaboration as “a new dawn for local governance,” commending Papillon for blending traditional leadership values with modern branding expertise to advance the town’s development goals.
