Vice-President of India Hamid Ansari and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh were among several leaders who paid floral tributes on Thursday to former Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat who died last month.
Lower House Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar, Bhartiya Janta Party Parliamentary Party Chairman L K Advani, Union Ministers Pawan Kumar Bansal, Farooq Abdullah and C P Joshi and BJP President Nitin Gadkari were among others present at the
condolence meeting.
President Pratibha Patil's husband Devi Singh Shekhawat was also present.
Shekhawat died in Jaipur on May 15 at the age of 87.
