Ghana U20 Head Coach, Maxwell Konadu, has invited a second batch of players for screening at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram. The selected players are expected to report today as preparations intensify for the 2026 WAFU Zone B U-20 Championship.
This phase of the exercise includes standout performers from the maiden MTN Elite U19 Championship, notably Yussif Saani of Dansoman Liberty Sports Academy and Gideon Otabil of Maverick Soccer Club, both of whom impressed scouts during the nationwide competition.
The first group of invited players concluded their assessment session over the weekend, making way for the second batch to take their turn.
The ongoing screening programme forms a crucial part of the technical team’s plan to build a highly competitive squad, offering multiple groups of young talents the opportunity to earn a place in the national U20 setup.

Others are Twumasi Akwaboso (Madrid FC Dunkwa), Rasco London (Bechem United), Mark Best (Belo FC), Akwesi Wusu (Top Care FC), Abraham Martey (Emmanuel FC), Sosu Augustine (FC Ashantigold ’04), Kelvin Nkrumah (Medeama SC), Isaac Acheampong (Northern City FC), and Isaac Adjei (Bibiani Gold Stars).
