Position Summary:
To ensure that the University’s objectives with respect to admissions and quality of students admitted is met with. The Director of Admissions & Enrollment will be single- handedly responsible to create, drive, and implement a strategy- based student recruitment plan that serves the university’s short and long term revenue and growth targets. The Director will also specifically be responsible to lead sales initiatives to attract the best quality students, and to achieve admission targets set by the institutions management and executive committee. He /She will be responsible for all communication outflow/inflow at the institution and monitor the same.
Core Responsibilities include
Strategy and Leadership
- Play an active role in the Executive Committee team of the institution achieves continued success for students and meets the future needs of the local communities.
- Establish trust and credibility with staff across the University, and external stakeholders including the local business community
- Attend corporation meetings and represent the University at external events as required
- Be line manager for the admissions/recruitment managers, admissions officers and admission counsellors
- Provide oversight to the marketing initiatives at the University, and share feedback with the marketing team to constantly evolve and be customer centric in its efforts
Admissions
- Responsible for the institutions annual target student growth and revenue projections being achieved through appropriate recruitment strategies
- Set admission number targets for the institution various programs and courses offered for every academic year in alignment with the institutional targets
- Ensure that the institutions key touch-points for parents and students, from awareness, to signing up and beyond, are based on the institution defined promises, values and mission
- Ensure that admissions, marketing and sales touch-points are properly designed, implemented and monitored
- Ensure that all students and parents queries posed through various online and offline touch-points are addressed within expected time
- Ensure that admissions and recruitment events and activities (national and international) are planned for, and organized, as per the event calendar agreed upon.
- Review and update admission numbers to the executive committee and to the President, on a periodic basis. Present plan of action from time to time in accordance with the institutional plans.
- Ensure that every student admitted to the programs at the institution meet the academic criteria established by the respective committees and bodies sat the institution, in accordance with the regulations of the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission.
- Identify the most talented students and scholars in Ghana and the rest of Africa, and on-board them with the Presidential Scholarship, and other scholarships awarded by the University.
Partnerships
- Manage national and international partnerships on behalf of the institution, and engage with existing and potential partners to achieve institutional objectives
- Identify potential partnership opportunities in the areas of student exchange programs, faculty exchange programs, student recruitment/onboarding among others, and close discussions on behalf of the University in these areas
Stakeholders engagement
- Engage with other stakeholders for the institutions growth, including but not limited to, corporates, foundations, governmental agencies, NGOs, etc. Prepare proposals to submit to these stakeholders in alignment with the institutional objectives for partnerships, tie-ups and joint initiatives
- Identify potential partners in various areas, including but not limited to, academics, extra –curricular activities, joint marketing and branding activities.
- Initiate and maintain relationships with partner schools and school principals in the region
