JOB PURPOSE:
Keep all equipment in good repair with a minimum of downtime by providing day-to-day maintenance of the hotel. And to Complete maintenance work orders from all departments on a timely basis by following hotels standard operating procedures.
Assist the Facility Manager to continually work towards and support the improvement of engineering service to guests, other departments and fellow staffs.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. To assist with hotels maintenance work as directed.
2. To maintain the equipment and tools in good order and to maintain all stores organized.
3. To show the interest in learning all available new technology and the latest products.
4. To share in the implementation of the training programs that will result in better productivity and better work environment.
5. To attend the conducted technical training, and to assure the correct implementation.
6. Responsible for working with stipulated quotas, for ensuring those areas are left in a safe condition.
7. Responsible for the proper use and security of Maintenance equipment and tools.
8. Responsible for engineering related guest room requests and response in a timely manner.
9. Report any serious maintenance problems, unusual findings, or safety hazards immediately to the facility manager
10. Initiates orders for supplies for the maintenance and maintain records of work completed.
11. Ensure that all Work Order, PPM & General Maintenance works are executed, as directed by the immediate Manager.
12. Ensure engineering area is safe, kept clean and in an orderly manner. Keep close coordination with other engineering staff for smooth operation.
13. Follow guest room preventive maintenance checklist to individually complete rooms' preventative maintenance process for guest rooms in efficient and effective manner.
14. Accident prevention and safety to be aware of all existing departmental job safety analysis and to strive to work in an accident-free manner and to create a safe working environment for himself and for others.
15. Ability to find fault and rectify systems as and when required.
16. Any other duties and task as and when assigned by the superior or the hotel management.
17. Check for new maintenance requests from the PMS (Property Management System) and update remarks once the task is completed.
18. Ability to interpret readings from meters & gauges and other measuring units.
Ability to read and understand test equipment, measuring devices, and safety manuals.
