Description
- Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, breads, cakes, cookies, and desserts according to recipes and quality standards.
- Design and create new pastry items, desserts, and seasonal menu offerings.
- Measure and mix ingredients accurately to ensure consistency and high-quality results.
- Decorate cakes and pastries using icing, glazes, and other toppings to achieve attractive presentation.
- Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure products are cooked properly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, baking equipment, and workstations.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
- Manage inventory of baking ingredients and supplies, and place orders when necessary.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality, taste, and presentation standards.
- Work closely with kitchen staff or management to plan production schedules.
- Handle customer orders, including custom cakes and special dietary requests when required.
- Minimize waste and control costs by using ingredients efficiently.
- Train and supervise junior bakers or kitchen assistants when needed.
